Born in Sydney’s West and growing up in Ipswich, the young prop has made his way back home from Western Australia. Shambeckler’s late introduction to rugby union at the age of 14 didn’t hold him back, earning selection for the Australian Schoolboys team in 2014 and two years later played for the Australian U20s team at the Junior World Championship. The young prop caught everyone’s eye after scoring an impressive 50-metre solo try at the World Championships against Italy, a feat that went viral on social media. Vui has impressed in Western Australia, representing Perth Spirit in the NRC.
