After a stint with the Melbourne Rebels, Bryce Hegarty returned to the NSW Waratahs in 2016. He bounced back in 2017 following a cruel ACL injury the year before to play in 11 games for the Waratahs.
He made his Super Rugby debut for the Rebels as the youngest member of the squad in 2013 against the Blues. Just one week later, at the age of 20, he was named to make his run-on debut against the Stormers in an opening season that saw him score two tries in the come-from-behind victory against the Highlanders.
In 2014, he missed just one match and continued to score tries before being named the Rebel Rising Player of the Year. Hegarty is the son of former Manly rugby league representative, Steve Hegarty.
