Bernard Foley became only the fourth Wallaby in 2017 to score 500 Test match points. For the Waratahs, he started in 10 games in 2017, scoring 113 points. After a stint in Japan and recovering from an injury suffered in the Waratahs’ pre-season trials, Foley returned to his very best in 2016. He also became the most capped first five in the Club’s history, pipping previous record holder and Waratahs legend, Matthew Burke, with 65 appearances in the Number 10 jersey.
Foley was first named in the Wallabies squad in 2012, just 11 appearances in to his Super Rugby career, which kicked off in 2011. Renowned for that penalty goal that helped secure the Waratahs’ maiden Super Rugby Championship in 2014, Foley remains one of the side’s most consistent performers.
