An iconic Australian food brand has joined the NSW rugby family with Four’N Twenty (Patties Foods Ltd.) announcing an exclusive partnership with the NSW Rugby Union (NSWRU).

Four'N Twenty's sponsorship of New South Wales Rugby Union marks Four’N Twenty’s first official foray into the sport of union in Australia.

As the Official Referee Partner of NSW Rugby, the renowned yellow and red label is now on the match officials’ jerseys in NSWRU competitions in 2018.

The partnership goes beyond branding to include Four’N Twenty key customers having the unique opportunity to engage in masterclass training sessions with players and coaches last week.

NSW Rugby General Manager: Community Rugby, Mark Green, welcomed the partnership.

“Footy and a good meat pie go hand in hand and we are delighted to welcome Four’N Twenty to the rugby family. This is a fantastic opportunity for a real Aussie staple to join forces with us to promote our favourite game and the vital role of referees,” Green said.

The partnership is particularly special for Four’N Twenty CEO Paul Hitchcock, who is a part-time referee for rugby union in New South Wales.

“Refereeing rugby is a real passion of mine so it’s very exciting for Four’N Twenty to partner with NSWRU. I have first-hand experience with the kind of benefits this partnership will bring. We want to ensure having a Four’N Twenty pie is embedded as part of the ritual of the game and we see a lot of potential associating our pies with such a loved sport by having a community focus”.
